David Steven Jacoby is a supply chain expert and educator, teaching graduate Operations Management and Supply Chain Management at New York University’s Stern School of Business and Tandon School of Engineering as well as the University of Pennsylvania‘s Wharton School of Business.Â
David is the Managing Director of Boston Strategies International, a strategy consulting firm that helps asset owners, investors and operators of major power and transport projects minimize supply chain cost, assure supply security, and maximize supply chain resilience.
Mr. Jacoby has contributed extensively to the field of supply chain management, having written eight books including Guide to Supply Chain Management for The Economist, Reinventing the Energy Value Chain for PennWell Books, Getting to Net Zero: Decarbonizing Businesses and Supply Chains, Retooling America for AI-Driven Supply Chains, and others. He holds an MBA and a Master of Arts from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.. He was previously a Senior Fellow at Boston University’s Institute for Sustainable Energy and a global management consultant at Kearney and Oliver Wyman in the United States, France, Brazil, Hong Kong, and elsewhere.
David is passionate about building businesses that transform supply chains. Based on extensive management experience in energy, automotive, transport, and retail managing and advising executive leadership teams, he has deep and practical first-hand knowledge of what’s on the other end of international supply chains.
