Catherine Berner

Catherine Berner is the CEO and Co-Founder of Rooted Metals, a phytomining startup that uses plants to unlock new sources of critical metals. She is an engineer turned entrepreneur and an expert at bringing new technology to life. Before Rooted, she designed and built award-winning factories and worked in sustainable energy investing. She holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley College of Engineering in Environmental and Energy Engineering.
